Which element are you?.

Each element, Fire, Water, Earth, Gold, Wood, is associated with a particular face shape. The ancient Chinese watched the sky and knew five planets: Mars, Mercury, Saturn, Venus and Jupiter. In China, each planet was associated with particular element for which it was named. Mars—Fire Star, Mercury—Water Star, Saturn—Earth Star, Venus—Gold Star and Jupiter—Wood Star. There are also three common mixed elemental face shapes: Gold and Wood, Water and Wood, Fire and Wood. However, any elemental face type may show signs of carrying another element. For example, a Fire-type person could be with pale skin. In combination, elements may help or hinder one another.

What you can learn right away about yourself or another from the elements is this: All pure types are effective people. All mixed types are either positive or stressful depending on the beneficial or detracting effect of the combined elements and the degree to which the weakening element is present. In choosing a partner, it is wise not to choose someone of your own element.
